Let the 383 restoration / freshen up begin

#'S matching 383 I pulled from my 69 RR going to freshen it up a bit and get it ready as a back up. It ran great before I pulled it minus some oil leaks But with new main seals, oil pan and valve cover gaskets that should cover it. Plugs looked great nice and golden.

Happy now I got some thing to do for the rest of the winter :)

Cool. Keep us posted. Hope to see a nice shDe of orange on it not blue when it goes back in
 
Good winter project. It would look alot better with some hemi orange splashed on.
 
I did the 440 in orange, still undecided about this 383 it is the numbers matching.
 
30 years ago i built the 383 in my first 70 RR. i painted the block and the heads white....yes white and damn that was a sharp lookin engine!
