Here's my sons project '63 330. Yep he's only 7 but its his. Buddy; Clay sold it to him for a dollar (charged me more on the side, but son only a buck  ) Son fell in love with car when we found it and asked if he could buy it and fix up...so I did what any mopar Dad would do. Made it happen.

Slowly gathering parts for it for down the line. We picked up the driveline for it about a month after getting it, found a '65 426 wedge and 4spd setup fairly cheap. I think hardest parts to find will be all the side trim which was stripped off and sold off a long time ago.

Looks like you'll have loads of fun with that father/son project. For the trim, since it's gone and hard to find/expensive, why not weld up the holes and go from there?

Have thought of doing that and might end up doing that if cant find any but we really like the look of the trim. And oh yeah will be fun, my son is not afraid of getting dirty either, he's all about it.

Lucky boy! Great project, let's get going on it so he can bring it to school for Show and Tell.

I love it! Way to go 'Dad'. A memory that will live for a long time after were gone. All yeah, on the side trim, it is pretty expense and very hard to find, but you can do what my friend did on his '63 330 - - He welded up the holes, and had the car painted , then had a local business here air brush the trim on. I'm tellin' ya , from 3 feet away, you'd swear the trim pieces were on the car..looks great. Also , Mancini had the samething done on his '67 GTX for ALL of his GTX chrome trim, (that he raced), that's where I got the idea from. I couldn't believe it was air brushed on when I first seen his car. If you get the right artist to air brush it on, the effect is amazing.......

That would be cheaper than locating and restoring all that chrome:black_eye:With the right artist,it looks awsome!!:edgy:

I think you have the right idea! No worrying about clips, dents...or shelling out the $$$ on all the trim. Airbrushing...hmmm Thanks!

I am sure it will be a fun project for you and your son. And its a sweet 63 Dodge also that you will have looking real sharp. Ron

Ohhhhh my an altered project! You gotta post more shots man, that is so cool not only a 2dr conversion but wheelbase project to boot? Great looking car

Not sure if Plymouths were included in the invite, but here is my '63 Savoy that I bought off of E-bay two months ago. Originally a ruby red with alabaster interior combo, with the 426/425HP and T85 3spd stick. Very long term project:grin:

Holy crap! That plymouth is great! I woulda tore the Lakewood or whatever tractionbars off it before I even loaded it on the trailer (musta bought it from a Chevy guy), but geeezzz.... what a great look for that car. Thanx for posting! Are the tires/wheels on it roadworthy? I wonder if they're for sale?

Son made me drag out the 63 today. Pulled off the rusted front fenders and replaced them with a set of plymouth ones I have...makes for easy storage of them. Kinda makes we wonder if I should just bolt the whole plymouth front end on her and call her "Split Personality"? We pulled the frozen 225 out of her today too. Next will be spot drilling the remnants of the floor pan out.

Yes, the traction bars will be tossed in the trash soon! The rims are probably going to be keepers as they are in pretty nice shape and the fronts are fairly rare 15x4" and the rears are 15x8.5" Ansen Sprints. They have been on the car since 1977:)

No, it is a life long Illinois car that was purchased new at M.E Miller Motor in East St.Louis, IL in '63. I bought it from a guy in Springfield, IL. I don't know how good of a deal it was (the reserve was double what the top bid was if you saw it on E-bay), but I have been looking for a '63 MW Savoy for a very long time, so I bought with the heart and not the head:grin:

BTW- your '63 is absolutely awesome!!!
