Mike, you were very fortunate to be in the right place,in the right era to do what you have done.I really dig that AWB car and that you raced the **** out of it.I was never able to support the racing addiction and be able to go every week to race.
But I finally have the car I always wanted,performing the way I always wanted.It has double duty as street bruiser and lay down some respectable ETs.This coming season will be mid 9's at over 140,change a pulley,,,add some octane and go mid 8s!
Exactly Hemi-Itis. If only a guy could have experienced those days or a way we could bring them back. And seeing the pictures of Mike's cars back in the day is like a kid looking in the candy shop window for me! Another member here who lived the dream is Sir Budnicks; another successful racer. He shared with me that back in the 60's - 70's there was 25-30 tracks in those parts, he got to them all and the times were magic.
