What was the life span for the Sport Satellite nameplate? First and last year.
I see many conflicting posts out there.

I see threads and ads that mention the "Sports" Satellite, can you show me an emblem or factory literature for this model?

The Plymouth Sport Satellite was produced from 1968 to 1970. The Sport Satellite was a higher-trim version of the Plymouth Satellite.



Model years:

• 1968: The Sport Satellite was introduced, with a 318 V-8 engine and a blacked-out grille.
  

• 1969: The Sport Satellite was available in a four-door sedan, two-door hardtop, convertible, and six- and nine-passenger wagons.
  
  
• 1970: The Sport Satellite was still in production.
  

Body styles: two-door coupe, two-door convertible, wagon, and four-door sedan.



Features: Blacked-out grille with horizontal blades, Cosmetic touches, and Standard 318 V8 engine.

The first one was actually '67 but was not badged as such like the 68-70 models otherwise it was just a '67 Belvedere...

Some online sources mention a 1967 "Satellite Sport", but it's not listed in any of the factory sales documents, dealer price/code books, or parts catalogs that I have. It may have been a mid year release, dealer group offering, or a regional release.

In 1968, Satellite shifted to the high price class, RH, replacing Belvedere II which was classified as high in 1967. Sport Satellite, the new model, was now the premium classification, RP.

The premium classification, RP, continued for Sport Satellite in 1969 and 1970:

In 1969 and 1970, Sport Satellites also included 4-door sedans and wagons.

In 1971, Sport Satellite was dropped and replaced by Satellite Sebring, Brougham, and Regent, in the premium, RP, price class.

If I put Fury III fender emblems and top door cards in my 68 Sport Fury, would it be a Sport Fury III

My first new car was a 67 Satellite, and nothing was offered as a higher trim level. If you wanted more you went to the GTX, which was outwardly different trim, but the interior was the same as the Satellite, except for emblems.

^^ Pretty much spells it out. It's own distinct model 68-70. Just as the Road Runner was from 68-75.

I owned this 67 for twenty five years I always referred to it as just…sport fury , but I think it may technically be a sport fury III based on those three red white and blue bars on the emblem.
