We have all struggled with removing and installing our lift off hood. Paint get scratched and where to told it causes stress. I have a solution WITHOUT installing hinges. What is the point of a lift off hood if you have to remove hinges after all.





I have used some eyebolts in place of the fourth pop rivet. (with a big washer underneath)
I have attached two clip to some steel cable (covered with heatshrink to look pretty)
I have made them removable so only the eyebolts are left visible.
My setup is strong enough to carry a metal hood.
I have made the cable that little bit long so I can remove it once installed on car
