I'm going to change the rear diff oil. After getting the old oil out, how should go back in. And how much additive goes in for the limited slip ???

I usually filled it up to just below the plug which was something like just short of 2 bottles I think from memory. I usually just put in one small bottle of GM friction modifier since a lot of the differential lubes anymore say they already contain friction modifiers for limited slip applications.

I have a bottle of Mopar additive. I didn't know if the whole bottle goes in or just a portion of it.

FWIW, Mobil 1 LS touted "Excellent limited-slip performance. Reduced chatter and improved traction".
Didn't work for my corporate 9.25" Had to drain some out and add the Mopar Friction Modifier which did work.

None in the Dana. No chatter so no need for the additive. IIRC there is Royal Purple Syncro in it.

and dont forget to savor that aroma!
Lol, I remember a maintenance person that was changing a ram alignment key on 500 ton press where I worked. His head and one arm in the "crown" access to work on it. A couple minutes later he pulls himself out of it and starts throwing up all over. That gear lube odor/fumes is some nasty stuff!
