Linda Vaughn book

The other day I received my box of Linda Vaughn books. This is a very nice/good coffee-table book. Lots of her memories of the racing world, and LOTS of pictures. I've had the pleasure of chatting with Ms. Vaughn["Linda"] on several occasions, and she's gotta be one of the most pleasant people I've ever met in the automotive world. My wife and I think the world of her. "The First Lady of Motorsports" is true, but doesn't really describe her with enough "heart-felt" value, that she emits to all.

True, but that's a "hard" word, also. Nothing hard about Linda.

I have seen interviews with her and she does seem like a genuinely nice person. She sure was hot back in the day, and she aged pretty damn well too!

I'll bet she could tell some tales too,
that would never be in her books...

She's a great lady I've met her a couple times,
she's fallen on some hard times too,
unfortunately seems she didn't plan well enough for the future,
senior years, still has to work to make ends meat,
selling off her stuff to pay for medical problems...

& IMO she's a true icon/face of the motorsports industry...

Not much contribution to actually racing, she looked good thou,
helped to attract or stimulate the young men & women,
with her celebrity status, but was there to see & experience much of it,
we will never know about, man the stories that she could tell...

I hope she's doing well...
