So I tried joining the Chevelle forums to ask about late 60s Chevelle's, since the 41 Chrysler is sitting on a 68 Chevelle frame.

I think I even asked posted a question on there about the front suspension, and this is what I get as a email a few minutes ago.

God forbid they allow someone in with just some interest and a few valid questions. Oh the horror.

Sad but true...some are very very restrictive on who what when and where....I have no clue as to why the 41 was set on a Chevelle frame given the original chassis configuration is what is copied still today..mine is still 41 chassis, R&P, Disc brakes, relocated shocks beefed sway bar..383/727 with 2.72 ratio 8 3/4 (cruiser gear)

Okay go ahead and tar and feather me, but I know a good bit about chevelle's from '64-'72. I also have their I.D. code book and I'll be happy to help where I can so what were you needing to know?

Try Chevytalk.com. There are a lot of helpful folks over there.

That frame looks a lot different than the frame under my 72 GTO. Has the a-frame (cross member) been modified? I know the 68-72 chevelle cross member is not that thick. I don't understand any forum turning away a person wanting to join.

I think I have figured everything out now, but I was looking for center link, idler arm and ball joints. Was told it was Nova/Camaro, from the dude that built it 30 yrs ago, but nothing looked the same.

A NAPA guy and I spent 2 hrs searching his catalogs for the right stuff, I went and got the control arm, and it and everything on the steering linkage is blue, which he thought was a dead giveaway for Pontiac. but didn't find the right stuff.

So I went home and just happened to google Pontiac control arm or something and got a link to OPD, and the correct control arms. Turns out it is 68 or so Chevelle/GTO/Cutlass.

Searched Moog for center link and other items and they are the same too, YAY

I have 2- Chevelles, 1- ebody,1- bbody, next might be a ford, As long as it has 4- wheels
