Long Distance Transaction & Shipping

Hey All,

I recently found a motor that I’d like to purchase but it’s in California. Anyone with experience handling a transaction like this safely (avoid being scammed) and arranged for shipping? Maybe one vendor can handle both these? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have shipped 3 cars recently, no problems. Better to work with a company that schedules itself, rather than through a broker. Montway Transport in IL shipped my near pristine 300M last year, no snags.

I know the feeling since I wanted to buy a car 2000 mile away from me. I did not know how I was going to do it. You should post to see if a member is close by and go look at the engine for you.

I've used Fastenal a few times for stuff like that, never had a problem and the prices were decent.

Lots of FBBO members here in California. Maybe one lives close, will confirm the sale is real and help you in that regard before going any further. One could hope...
