Hi everybody,
I am looking at a 68 Charger later this week and I am wondering what I should be looking at as far as trouble spots. I am new to these cars and know that every car has areas that are known to rot more than others. I plan on going over it quite well, but I don't want to miss something hidden and come accross it later on down the road when I am pulling the car apart. The car is listed as complete minus the engine/tranny. The car has two front fenders on it that appear to have at least been removed, and may be new to the car. It looks as if it does not have any rust in any of the body panels, so i will check for Bondo.. I don't know what the vin is off hand and am not sure what the original trim package was or what size motor was originally in the car.
My plans for the car are to get a motor-tranny this winter and get the suspension-brake work done. I am hoping to drive it next summer. I then plan to do more work each winter and hopefully keep it on the road in the summer.
Assuming that this car is complete and relatively rust free what is a fair price to pay for a car like this?
Thanks in advance!

Dan, make sure you go over the usual spots on a b body like the trunk pan, trunk extensions, rear frame rails, and especially the rear window channel...very prone to rot there. Check out the bottom of the car carefully as if it's rusty there, it will likely be rusty elsewhere.
