I have a 1972 Charger Rallye dash I'm working on. I have a new harness from M&H. Problem is the old harness was a mess and taken out years ago. I'm certain im going to need all new relays. I have allot of it figured out, but still some wires are a mystery. The car has consealed headlights and power windows. Any helpful pictures or if someone could send me a colored wiring diagram. Thank you.

Try this.

Thank you sir. Is there separate diagrams for the power windows and hideaway headlights? I don't plan on hooking up the seatbelt light buzzer. What does the hideaway headlight connection look like? Relay? I have all new wiring from the motor to the bulkhead connector. Sorry for all the questions. I'm really not sure about this stuff.

What are these relays (i assume) for? Also this heavy gauge pink wire with a brown single connector and black post connector. What do they go to?

Do you have FSM?

Go to My Mopar there are many wiring diagrams and tech articles you can browse.

I learned a lot from that ultimate wiring guide in the general section. But im still lost on that pink wire and where the clock wire goes (black) . Also the extra wide terminal on the voltage limiter , both long and short black wired won't fit it. I knoe its extra wide for a reason, but i think m&h screwed up and gave me 2 regular sized connectors.

Start here first, IMOP, then go from there. You more than likely need to transfer a few wires from the old to the new one since not everything under the moon is all included in M&H's, depending on the options of the car. Also, there are a few harnesses that they don't make but I've heard they can make some on a special occasion. One I know of, as far back a year or so, was the fuel sending wires going from the dash, all the way to the trunk and down to the tank (for fuel gauge) for a '71. Who know's what has been added over the life of the car (not factory added). Electrical can be so irritating

Yes, the heavy pink wire is the power take-off for the power windows, lug goes to the alternator side of the ammeter. Relays pictured are Power Window safety relay, on the wires, clips to the side of the fuse box. Circuit breaker for the Power windows, Horn relay/key buzzer. The wide spade connector at the voltage limiter is the cluster ground, should have a black wire in the harness for that that grounds at a ring terminal near the parking brake.

Here is a shot of the concealed headlamp relay and circuit breaker, mounts to the right of the ash tray, lower dash;

The alternator side meaning? Black side? I'm really not good at this stuff.

My problem here is that I have two black wires. One longer than the other, but both have the regular size connectors. Neither fit the large ground spade. What do I do?

If the spades are the same size, easiest way to determine which black wire is the ground would be to check continuity to the harness ground lug ring with a VOM. Unfortunately, the power supply wire to the voltage limiter is also black, it would be connected to an Accessory power from the fuse box. You are correct, there is a reason the two had different sized connectors originally.

The correct way to address the problem would be to find the correct size spade connector. For the kind of money M&H charges, would expect all connectors to be correct. Short of that, pull off the voltage limiter, carefully narrow up the ground male spade to allow the connector to fit. Carefully label which wire is which for the next guy.

Yes, the alternator side ammeter lead is black, red is the battery side.

Thank you so much. One more question regarding the clock power wire ( I assume) where does it connect to the black side of the ammeter?

black wires voltage limiter ground is not the same size than any other.... ground for voltage limiter prong is a bit wider to be sure not connectthere a positive source, since thats a ground reinforce straigh to the VL, even its chassis grounded too.

I know that its a ground. My harness from M&H has 2 black wires with connectors. I did like 72RoadrunnerGTX suggested and did a continuity test with my multimeter. The longer black wire is thw ground. But still its out fitted from M&H with a regular sized connector.
