Dont limit yourself to the 64 rearend only. A 68-69 will bolt right in and work just fine....this helps broaden your search.

rear axle....

im looking for a sure grip rear end for my 1964 polara.

It's great to see you young guys enjoying the old Mopars.
Look for axles 1965 and later. Before that the rear hubs were held in place by a nut on a tapered shaft, (your 64 should have one), and wouldn't take much punishment.... and were very hard to service.

I put a complete rear end out of a '70 Roadrunner in my '64 Belvedere. It's narrower than the '64 so you can run a little wider tire.

a dana 60 would be great but being only 17 where am i going to get that much money

Paper route?? It's easier to get a sure grip, new about 400 bucks, and just install it, your factory rear is fine....they were used all day long behind max wedges. If you got some buddy's for moral support and pizza run and have some mechanical ability, it wont be that hard to install the sure grip. Look on the web for setting up a rear end and remember, the hardest part of any job is just getting started.
