Hi everybody, I am searching a tailgate window for my 68 Coronet with green tinted glass.
Hope that someone can help where to get this extremly rare window.
I am thankful for every Information.
The seller should be able and willing to ship to Germany.
Thanks in advance for every information that helps.

My tinted Travelall rear windshield broke. It is flat, laminated glass (I think all are). Had it made at the local shop for $100. The tint was just like original

I called a local glass place. He said he thought it should be a flat, tempered piece of glass, not a laminate. He thought it would come in at about $150.
I'm surprised you can't find a glass shop local to you to make the piece of glass.

The problem is I need the exact measurements or a template of the window for that. Otherwise it won’t be possible.

I'll check the place I got my TA window from on Monday. They have a stack of patterns and one was a Travelall rear window.

Thanks a lot for your help, Sam. For me the problem is not so much to find someone to make a new window, it´s more that nobody has the patterns or any other information about the size. I am located in Germany. The old window is gone in 1000 pieces. Travelall is a great car, by the way.

My TA had laminate, but yours must require tempered glass. The shop I called has been in existence since the 1960s. They had stacks of patterns and a 66 coronet rear windshield shouldn't be as rare as a TA. Station wagon rear windows tend to get broken, so I expect the shop will have a pattern when I call tomorrow.

I am not a specialist for car glass, but this must be tempered glass.
Getting a copy of a pattern would solve the problem. Much easier than shipping the whole window. If there is any possibility let me know. Of course I will pay for every expenses in this context.
Thank you Sam.

Just saw that you wrote 66, it´s a 68 Wagon, to make sure.
Oh, it is... I was looking at the window. The roof line must be much like the 66-67. I think your window has two layers of glass bonded with a plastic film between. When tempered goes, the pieces don't stick together. There may be a US law about front and rear windshields having to be laminate only.

No charge from me, not a lot of effort on my part. (the glass shop might want a little something since they aren't selling a window, but maybe not, I've bought from them for years. My TA window was $100 a few years ago, they are pretty easy to get along with).

I have around 10,000 pieces of brand new NOS auto glass. lots of wagon back glasses.
    1950’s through 1990’s
message me if you need a new rear window. I’ll see if we have it.
We can ship but understand that shipping glass is not cheap. Most large glasses will have to go by truck freight.
we only have new glass. We do not sell used glass. Thanks

I am looking for a rear window 1968 Dodge Coronet Wagon with green tinted glass, not with clear glass.
A NOS window would be perfect. It is quite clear that shipping glass is difficult and expensive. Please let me know, if you do have this glass and how much shipping to Germany with a professional in ternational carrier and insurance would be. Thanks, Hardy
