Getting my 67 GTX painted. Original dark blue poly. That formula is not available with the major paint lines. We tried a 70 color b9 which is available in Omni but the spray out is a very dark blue, the flop under sunlight shows a more discernible blue metallic but not loving the spray out overall.
Has anyone recently sprayed 67 dark blue poly or a more modern really close color? How different is B7 Jamaica Blue?

Would '67 Dark Blue Poly be any different from '65 or '66 Dark Blue Poly? They're all EE-1. From my experience, this color changes dramatically depending on how much light is hitting it.

This is my original EE-1 paint '65 in bright sunshine.

The painter I’m using did about 5 different spray outs and I think we nailed it.

PPG locally did sevral spray outs for me a few years ago. I still have the one that matches the original area on the bottom of the steering column on my 66 Satellite. EE1 code on the fender tag. I believe they added a little more metallic to their formula to get the match.

Both were repainted. The shiny one was paint matched from original paint using the color camera. As soon as you go clear coat it really doesn’t matter anymore. Both EE-1, bottom was painted in ‘75, single stage.

Would it be possible for a member with a car in that color to get a spectrum analysis done at a paint supply store and have the cose sent to the OP?

The color scans I've gotten locally have been 100% dead on.
