Hello all,

First of all I am new here, but have always been a Mopar fan.

Recently I have felt a turn in my energies to start a project car to work on. I love the 1968 Dodge Charger, and would like to know where to find one. . At least in half way decent shape. . Engine or no. . And at a fairly good price:icon_fU:.

Winter is fast approaching where I live thus I will have to save Money over the Winter and purchase the Charger about Spring or Summer. .

Thank You :happy8:

I bought my 69 Charger for $5000.00 and it was complete had sat for 25 years. The cars are out there, Craigslist is your friend!!!!! My one word of advice, make sure you get a car that is complete or your gonna nickel & dime yourself to death on 2nd gen Charger!!!!! Good luck!!

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Good luck with your search and X2 on the Craigslist tip.

Hello, welcome to the site. I listed this 68 Charger R/T for a friend of mine if you have any interest. Complete nice numbers matching project.... Here are some pictures from when I listed it on Ebay. I am putting the interior back in it this weekend and will relist it next week.

Thank you all for the welcome and your suggestions. . I am definitely keeping an eye out on both Ebay and Cragslist. . And any other site hosting an auction or purchase for the Charger R/T. . I have plans to make it a Bullitt Charger. . That is when I get one :icon_fU:.

Took the words right out of my mouth! Look for the most complete car you can find. I look on allofcraigs (search engine for all craigslists) from time to time to see whats out there, and you can still find complete cars for reasonable prices.

I think its gone now, but there was a red 68 on Atlanta's craigslist less than a month ago. Been sitting up a while, but had all the trim, glass, interior, grill, engine (383) and trans.....and was pretty solid (think it needed the usual...lower quarters, trunk and floor pans. They were asking 5K for it.

Good luck with your search,
Jason

I can only agree with the rest of the guys here, I am working on a 68 Charger now, and I am doing a pro-touring car, that being said when it comes to the details, interior, trim parts, little dam clips for things like hood blinkers... you will go insane spending time and money, at least the resto world (classic industires, and some other) have finally started to step up to the plate a little...

I would like to thank you all for your comments and shared information.

I suppose I could be getting ahead do myself here, but intially I would very much like to have a project car once I can get the money up to do so. . While I am thinking totally way ahead of any future plans, I do appreciate any and all information here shared.

I will return back to this posting to maybe get some more information as soon as I get the money up (Future Tense).

Thanks again all, and a Happy New Year :headbang:.

I wish you luck getting one, they are a nice Charger, Buddy of mine had one that would boot and scoot... I came close to one about 14 year ago, now i wish i would have..
