First off I'm a sucker for 60's model cars but never owned an old Mopar. I thanking about buying a 68 satellite 4dr. Body has a small bit of rot in quarters already been cut out and comes with 2 new quarters. Has the slant 6 factory a/c and power steering runs and drives also all new brakes and hardware. I figured it would be v8 is it rare? Asking price is $2000 good deal or bad deal
Thanks nick

Can you show some photo's? A picture is worth a thousand words .. and lots of pictures are more better

Welcome to FBBO .. head over to the welcome wagon and introduce yourself

rare is not always desirable
it sounds like a 1200 dollar car..

Don't have pics I myself am not looking for rare just thought it might be having the slant 6 if I buy it it would get a 340 also not looking to make a show car just a driver

Don't know how many /6 Sattelites were made but it wasn't that many but imo, even one /6 Sattelite is too many. The car is a bit heavy for a 6 and so mileage vs a 318 wasn't that much difference. Also, the Sat is the upper trim level car in the Belvedere line so yeah, I would think one with a /6 is unusual but back then, you could get one just about any way you wanted it. A buddy had a 2 dr hardtop with a 318, 3 on the column and rubber floor mats and nothing else. It did look nice tho....

might be easier to find, and cheaper to build a 383
