I know how you are feeling now, as I lost my Dad in 2006. Just remember, the pain you are feeling now will pass, but beyond that you will have your memories of him, and you will remember the things he tought you throughout your life. So in a sense, he's not really gone. He may not be around physically, but he's still with you.

Sorry for your loss. My dad died unexpectedly 17 years ago but it still seems like it happened yesterday. Mine was not only a dad but also my best friend. Someone asked me once how long it took me to get over my dad passing. I told them if I ever get over it that would mean that I had forgotten his presence in my life.

Sorry for your loss, I lost my dad 20 years ago and it is never easy losing a loved one. Now is the best time to get closer to other family members and sit around and talk about how great your dad was and all the happy memories he has left you with.

I feel for ya, pal. Lost my dad in '95 when he was 73. I don't feel the pain as much anymore, but I miss him more as the years go by.
