Wow looks solid. 67 R/T is my favorite. Maroon/red interior? Cool Mopar.

Are you going to seal it before priming? How long are you going to leave it exposed before shooting it? Just curious to what everyone is using when leaving the metal exposed for an extended amount of time before shooting....

You gotta media blast that car...I gotta respect your efforts in that labor you're expending.

IM shooting it very soon with epoxy primer its in a heated dry garage so not very worried about the exposed metal it only took about 15 hrs so far and due to wiping the exposed panels down with a metal prep that keeps it from flash rusting till I do shoot it

How long will stuff like prep n etch keep before flashing starts?
Thanks

Im in no way a expert but prob a week. Ive done quite a few projects and have never worried much about flash rust, with work I can usually get a car stripped in about 2 weeks then about a week to da with 40 and then 80 and then shot with epoxy it seems to me if you keep your work space dry it shouldnt be an issue . now saying that im sure the time of yr and your location and weather would effect it a lot. heck the reason I didnt take off door handles yes is I still drive it in my development

I've been working on my floor pans on the weekends and am constantly having to use a 80 grit scotch brute to clean... I try to spray rust inhibitor on pieces that I've completed but sometimes I don't and here with the humidity you can almost watch the rust start...

If you think you have it tough dealing with humidity in the Woodlands, you should try it where I am being just 9 miles from Galveston Bay lol

Kudos to you for doing the work yourself! Looking very good!
thanks I cant do everything but I can do a lot, being a general contractor and dealing with people all the time working on a car is an escape for me and 2 hrs a day keeps me on a schedule

got most of the drivers side today got the dam flu so I didnt work and their is no way I can ride the sofa 2 days in a row I did find two areas with some bondo in them one in rear quarter and another in front fender the old timer I got it from did say he had a fender bender back in early 70S the metal is still sound under it tho
