Low deck 512 ready to go to the dyno

Pump gas engine with hyd roller cam. Looking for 575 to 600 hp. Should be on the dyno in the next week or two, just need to put the correct oil pan on it and haul it over to the shop.

Yep. I sold all of the carbs that I owned and switched my cars over to fuel injection. I have no intention of ever using a carb again on any of my projects.

If you look close at the engine you can see that it is a cross bolted low deck. Here is a picture of the rotating assembly. It has a Callies 4.250 stroke crank with 440 mains, Crower rods and Diamond pistons. The block was converted to cross bolted mains using the larger 440 main bearing size.

Yes, I'll use my 2 inch dyno headers since they have the extra O2 bung that I need with the EFI system. This engine would probable work a little better with the smaller Schoenfeld dyno headers that I have but they don't have the extra O2 bung.
 
Since your future builds will mostly involve EFI, seems like getting another bung put in the other headers might be worthwhile.
 
I don’t think that any of the aftermarket efi setups are capable of doing dual O2’s, but I could be wrong.

I believe you can add an additional wideband to the HP using a configurable 0-5v input and log it but can’t use it for tuning closed loop but I’ve never done it.
 
So that is a stock block that has been cross drilled? I never knew you could do that.
I am guessing it now has billet mains then?

I think it's neat that you used the 60s era turquoise blue paint on the block, and the early 70s Chrysler Blue for the valve covers and oil pan. Nice touch! That thing looks like it will run great!

I just designed those low mount brackets for this engine. I'll get more of them made and start selling them. I like the low mount design myself but it only works with EFI engines or an electric fuel pump.
