Hi all

We're looking into getting a new 'lower rad stone shield', ie the panel that goes between the front bumper and the radiator support, as the one we have on our 69 Sport Satellite is from a 70, and doesnt fit quite right as the 68/69 version is slightly different to the 70

Link to Year One's version - https://www.yearone.com/Product/DisplayProduct/264256

Main question is what colour should it be - body color or black? And if black - satin or gloss?

And also, can anyone recommend an alternative supplier to Year One? I presume there's cheaper out there?!

Thanks, Rob :icon_salut:

My ( 68 plymouth b body )car was factory gold, but the shield was that color ( satin black )

Thanks for the quick replies guys!

I have a pic saved somewhere from Muscle Car Restorations of a green 68/69 Charger (cant remember which year) that has a black panel but it's quite glossy. They do great work but I know a lot of what they do is to suit the customer's preferences, so not all details are necessarily factory correct.

So I guess satin black is as good a choice as any - especially as our car is dark blue.

BTW - surprised to see AMD are $10 more than Y.O.

Thanks again guys :icon_mrgreen:

hmmmm....mine's body colour. wonder if it was replaced and sprayed. :eusa_think:

Mine is black. Could be factory. Unable to tell gloss or not at this point.
