Lower steering column bearing

Hello all,
I have a 1969 dodge coronet rt steering column with a floor shift that needs a lower bearing. I have seen nylon repop bearings for around $90.00. I have herd that you can use a steel bearing (ER-16) in its place. has anyone on this site have any experience with this bearing?
Thanks Bill.
What about this

60 bucks plus shipping

I also bought a Derlin one fit nice.
I have a friend that worked for Chrysler on the assembly line he told me when I was complaining about locating one that the late 60s early 70s bearing were the same ones used by some GM along with some other pieces.
I think I looked up 67 GM lower column bearing and the examples loooked identical to my 67.
I didnt order one to test it because the guy that makes the Derlin ones emailed me and said he was starting production back up. They sure looked really close and were a lot cheaper.

Jim seems mighty proud of his parts!
Mike
I don't see a bearing on his website just a plastic piece that goes in the end of the steering column For $65 Did I miss something?

I went with the ER reducer bearing and will use the spring clip to retain the bearing
in the tube. Jim's wants $30.00 for just the spring clip! Holy Moly! The G.M. boys sell
the same clip for $7.95.
