How should a reproduction fender tag w/options should look like?

If you search hard enough on ebay there are people selling repop fender and vin tags, just the thing to clean up the special constructed bonded title on the GTX convertible you bought this morning. Run the numbers through Vermont to wash the title and get it ready for Mecum...

Lots of people can and will make a fender tag. The question is how much accuracy is important to you.
MOST of the vendors, and some will probably be mentioned in this thread, can stamp codes into a piece of metal and call it good. You'll pay a couple of hundred of dollars for what you may or may not know is correct and put it on your car.
In most cases, it's exceedingly difficult to make an accurate tag without some sort of documentation like a broadcast sheet or window sticker.
This old "Where can I get a new Fender Tag made" question just kinda lingers.....
