What do I need to change my manual brakes to power in my 64 Belvedere. Put a dual resevoir MC on last fall and it takes 2 feet to stop the damn thing. Changed Brake Rods, Holes on the pedal, but no difference.

SBC makes one that is a direct fit. I ordered mine from Summit

What do I need for other parts? Do I take the vacum from the port on the bottom of my Holley at the rear?

What bore size master? My manual master Coronet stops OK. Sounds like you might have put a 1 1/8" master which will require you to stand on the pedal to get it to slow. Use no larger then a 1" bore, 15/16 works very well.

I had a shop do it last fall. there is no part number on it. I just checked it and it is the 1". I would have thought that the bigger the bore the less pressure required.

Just wondering if there is two different brake pedal assemblies for power and manual brakes?

I can't remember where I saw the formula to calculate line pressure but I did remember that the smaller bore the MC has, the more line pressure is created. Hope this helps.

The top hole on the brake pedal is for manual and the bottom is for power brakes. Also the firewall brace plate is different the hole for the booster is lower than the manual.

Just weird. Everything was normal, Master cylinder went, replaced it with a dual resevoir for a manual brake car. 1" bore, Had a professional mechanic do the work because I don't like brake work. I have a good idea what it should feel like as I had a 69 Swinger with dual resevoir non power drums and I drove this one with the original single resevoir 600+ miles home when I bought it. Guess I'll try the mopar adjustable rod and shorten it up a bit. Don't know what else to do.
