At 9 seconds in the video in 1st post you see a large flame.At 10 seconds trail of mist from something. Could just a bottle with valve broken.

Heard it was a natural gas leak BUT they are still investigating further..

Preliminary report states it was "natural gas fueled", but further investigation by the NTSB could take 1-2 more years for a definitive answer as to what actually caused the explosion.

I wish there was a way to know if they had just installed a new furnace or had chinese replacement parts put in.
We are averaging 2.5 new furnace install home explosions in WI for the last 5 years now. I grew up around here, the first 30 years of my life I heard of one and it was a natural gas pipeline leak in a 100 year old building.
