Master Cylinder Rebuild

Uhhh, IIRC it was $150 that included shipping back. I would have to look to be sure but I think that was it. It was a GM MC, I thinks that what the do the most of.

Is this the first one you had done by them? if so, then basing this off of an initial install doesn't carry much weight. The true test is time....

Sure would be nice to know of people that have had them for more than a year etc. This is an industry that is fading away from the restorers....the more good vendors we have in our rolodex is always a good thing....

I've rebuilt a couple of my MCs. Key thing is what condition the bore is, and getting the right parts. Otherwise, their pretty easy to go through.

I'm not sure I follow, what doesn't carry much weight? First one that I've personally had them do, referral comes from a pair of NCRS restorers and others in the restoration community that I trust. They are not a new outfit.

If you want to keep your born with MC with the car I don't see what other choice you have. As far as testing or durability this car will see a few hundred miles per year if that and climate controlled storage. I'm sure it will out live me with no issues.

Here's a pic of a '70 R/T that I just saw on "Pictures of Coolness"

Referrals are helpful...if you added that earlier the response would have been slightly different.......Hopefully, it does outlive you...

What about pictures? I would like to see their work......Climate controlled storage is nothing new to us un Texas:thumbsup: I even have AC/heat by the pool..lol

Not to much to show in the picture. The cap, bail wires, booster, lines, etc are all original to the car and not restored.

The MC itself needed sleeved due to pitting.

Looks good aesthetically.....Almost all are sleeved these day to eliminate any potential issues. Was the bowl cleaned well?

Yeah, everything was very clean and sanitary. Looked like new everywhere you could see with out taking it apart anyway.

Thanks for taking the time posting the pics and explaining your references. Sounds like a good vendor to add to my bank:thumbsup:
