I learned how to do calcs with a manual flight computer E6B.
I found my old flight bag recently. Inside was the old "whiz wheel".View attachment 1085772
I learned how to do calcs with a manual flight computer E6B. Tough to use while you’re PIC.
Same here...only difference is, I NEVER did know how to use it.I still have one of those "whiz wheels" (somewhere), but I'm sure I forgot how to use it.
A helmet?I used a Slide Rule when doing Weight and Balance for aircraft in the 80's before they gave us computers to do it. Still have mine from my C-130A days too. Still the best math tool is my good ol' Brain Bucket...cr8crshr/Bill
But how'd you come up with 3/8 when you were counting in millimeters?Oh yeah, I learned how to count to 20 & 3/8 when I was naked.
