Max Wedge Barn Find

Very nice find.
Yes, the 63 Max Wedge cars were 3-speeds...the 4-speed was not robust enough to handle the Maxie power.

Awesome score! Now get on and find the engine for it.....nice too see they are still out there.

You sharp eyed lucky dog! Nice score. What are you going to do about the missing engine? I'd love to watch this rebuild thread. Thx for sharing.

I thought for a few days that I had won the lottery twice in ten days! First I found the Max Wedge and then I found the original 426 block AT MY BROTHER'S HOUSE!! He bought the block in the early 80s but never did anything with it. I called his son and asked if he still had the block and he said he did. I asked for the dates on the block and they matched my car perfectly. My convertible was built 10/30/62. The block was cast on 8/27/62 and the engine was assembled on 9/12/62. Perfect, right? No the block my nephew has is stamped with an "H C" High Compression (13.5). Chrysler records show my car is an (11.0)

Engine too?

First thing I would do is take a second mortgage out on the house and get it restored!

BIG BUCKS.. YOU REALLY DID WIN THE LOTTERY!

CONGRADS!
