That's a nice story,it would be great to see some of the before pics.
Strange that he has the14x5.5 wheels ...I have some Max wedge 14x6.5 wheels.Wonder why?

I think because it was a pilot car. They made it then used it as a base to build the production cars from, changing a few things that they didn't quite like.

based upon all the rear frame rail work they had to do to restore it..it might have looked something like this..
