This May 11th and 12th will mark the annual Moparty Picnic held in Chattanooga, TN. to benefit the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Group. The event will kick off with cars and their owners gathering at the Camp Jordan facility starting at noon on the 11th for an informal gathering. At 3:00 PM. everyone is invited to move three miles down the road to watch some of the finest match and grudge racing featuring the likes of the Teutons battling the Hensley Hemi. All Mopars are welcome to get into the action at the Brainerd Motorsports Park.
Then on Saturday morning, everyone will come back together at Camp Jordan for the Moparty Picnic. This will be a gathering of cars from throughout the area. Additionally, the indoor arena will have a special display showcasing the Road Runner. The indoor arena will also be the gathering point for a Mopar Tech session led by Herb McCandless plus Mike Buckel and David Jones from the Ramchargers. Check out the vendors inside the arena and enjoy the picnic lunch.
Moving outside the arena, the Camp Jordan facility will be the feature point of Mopars from all year models and body styles. All Mopars are welcome and we appreciate all that will support the efforts. Additionally, a swap meet for a variety of goodies will be located next to the cars. More information can be found by checking out the website or Facebook site. Anyone can direct questions to me here on this site or drop Ken a message from the website. The website is www.mopartypicnic.com. We look forward to seeing all past friends and welcome new friends to a great Friday afternoon and Saturday in Chattanooga.

I will be there and I'm bringing my Roadrunner "Miss Victory" to tear up the 1320 and show and shine!

:poke: LOL :D
Looking for to a GREAT time.
BE THERE!!

Glad to hear that your coming to the show. Looks like a good turnout based on the response from the owners heading to the show. The drag racing looks to be really getting a lots of attention from the racers looking to make some good money as well.

I'm just going to run between rounds for fun. I like practicing my "talkin' smack" lol. See you there!

Paid for all of the various Moparty Picnic events and so forth...Got a suite at the Fairfield Marriott...YOLO-go BIG or stay home :)
Arrive Thursday evening, maybe cruise or hang out, races Friday, show Saturday...crusin' too and hanging out...I'm getting STOKED!!

Anyone from Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama going? I am leaving tomorrow morning from Louisiana.

You might want to post on the Facebook site as well and check out the Birmingham, AL. Mopar site to see if anyone has posted as they usually support the show with a good attendance of cars.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't "do" social media.
I have been prepping all day.
Rolling out in the A.M.!
Moparty Picnic here I come!!!

Loading up "Miss Victory" in the morning. I can't wait to hear her scream when I rip down the 1320 w/open headers and all 6 barrels WFO!

Made it here easy. About 6 1/2 hrs. Went to see Ken (the narrator in the video who puts on the show). Some guys hanging out at his house. That 68 Hemi Roadrunner is SWEET! A couple of garages on his property. Nice 497 Stroker 65? Max Wedge crossram Coronet. Also a 32?Ford with a 352 Hemi, topped off w/a functional 6-71 blower and open zoomies!
Going to hit the sack early and start at the track around 8am tomorrow.
Unfortunately only an 1/8th mile aka half a race, but it should be fun.

I'm about to head to the track. Had a slow start today attendance wise, but some great cars!

I had a hard time all day cutting a good light. I ran this Challenger down by 330ft mark and on to the 1/8th for a win.

Got put on the trailer by this Hellcat Charger. Poor RT and some traction issues.
I really need a line lock, some appropriate shocks, and an adjustable pinion snubber.
I had a blast today though!

More videos and pix coming Saturday.
68 Hemi Barracudas...
The world record Hellcat Challenger..
And more!
Stay tuned!

At the race track today, in Georgia by the Tennessee state line, we ALL STOOD for the National Anthem, we ALL thanked our military active service and veterans, and we ALL participated in a prayer before the races started...
God bless America,:usflag:
and I LOVE the SOUTH!
