McDonald's new look

The food is expensive and the portions are smaller than they were in the past. Plus the flavor is worse. $8 for a fast food meal? I'll eat somewhere else. Dollar menu became the value menu after they raised all their prices and kept quality the same. The inly thing I will eat there are the double cheeseburgers, after I throw away the buns.

In 1987 I had a McDonald's burger in Taichung Taiwan. It tasted different. I think it's still in my lower intestines even after two colonoscopies.

The only thing I will buy at McD's is coffee, it's not bad. But will generally shy away from all fast food. I will go out of my way to eat at one of the "trailer diners" anytime......

Anyone see the story about the guy selling a McDonald’s burger and fries on eBay?
He bought the meal in 2012 and shelved it to test the urban legend that McDonald’s doesn’t decompose.
Apparently the legend is true.:wtf:

Would this be considered bomb shelter food? --EEK. Is Fast food now -slow food- as well?

Somewhere along the way, McDonalds turned away from what brought them to the dance.
Regardless of how big they are, that will be their downfall eventually.

Companies like Chick-Fil-A, In-n-Out, Whataburger, Cracker Barrel et al keep to their mantras of quality, service, etc.
Those and the local mom and pops that are of like mindset are who I patronize.

We have one of the remodeled ones near us. I've only been inside a couple of times since the remodel and always getting it to go, so I haven't studied it in depth. One time I went inside because no one would answer me at the drive-thru. Other times were because I was in my Cummins Ram - which is hard to talk to the speaker with while it's running.

I tried to use the kiosk thing once, gave up, and just went and talked to the hermaphrodite at the counter because it was much faster. I suppose if I went in there regularly, I could get the kiosk to work faster.

On a related note, one of my many pet peeves is going to any drive-thru and having them NOT give you napkins without having to ask. We recently got ice cream cones at a drive-thru and the kid handed them to me with no napkins. I wasn't even polite, I just barked "NAPKINS!!!" at him, and he complied. I think I scared him, but I told my wife that I don't care if it's your first 5 minutes on the job - napkins with an ice cream cone SHOULD be common sense to any biped regardless of age. I know what you guys will say, I'm nuts to expect that this day and age. And, sadly, you're probably right.

$0.99 McChicken no lettuce and a $1 bottomless large Dr Pepper and my lunch is taken care of.
PLEASE, if you know what's in the McChicken, don't tell me! Ignorance is BLISS!

The McChicken and a smoothie or chocolate shake is what I usually get

Chipotle chicken snack wrap with extra chipotle sauce for me. A couple of those will do for my lunch.

I heard Chik Fil A was chosen as the top fast food chain. But liberals will hate on you for eating there.

The fries are delicious, but a large at WienerSchnitzel is $3.29 FFS!
My $2.00 lunch at Mcdonald's is not a wallet breaker.

Happy Meal anyone....?

Sonny pulls into McDonald's saturday morning......to order a "senior coffee" (.73 tax inc)

the voice asked "what U want?" .......

I said a "senior coffee"

Voice said..dads it?.......I said yes....

Voice said "drive around"

long story made short, 19 min later i receive my coffee

this is why no 15 bucks, and a machine can do better (might even say thank you)

:wtf:

AAnnndddd...the survey says! VT came in dead last with only 1.9 fast food restaurants per 10,000 people.
SUBWAY....McD's and Burglar King top 3. I know of 5 McD's here in VT and 1 burger king. Subway is everywhere...

The reason for automation has more to do with reliability than hourly wages.

Kiosks don’t call in sick
Kiosks don’t need to eat and use the restroom
Kiosks don’t have a poor attitude
Kiosks don’t get tired
Kiosks don’t need constant supervision
Kiosks can work unlimited hours with no break time.

This is the world we live in and it’s not going to change.
Same deal with “self checkouts” at the orange plague.
