checking some dimensions on my 68, can some one give me a measurement from the bottom of the package tray to the top of the floor pan tunnel that covers the rear axle? see pic for clarity. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I certainly would Ellsworth, but I'm not going to the shop today but I'm going tomorrow. I will get it for you tomorrow when I get there and let you know. But someone else might get it before I make the return trip. I'll check back into this thread later to find if somebody else got it for you. If not I'll be back from the shop around 11am your time tomorrow. I'll let you know then. Good luck in the mean time.

Oh by the way I have a 70 Will should be the same.

Thanks so much, yea, I would think 70 is the same. And tomorrow is fine, sometime in the next couple days would be great. I really appreciate the help.

Hey Ellsworth. Just got back from the shop. Ok the magic number is 9 inches. Here's a picture I think of the area your asking about. Let me know if it's good enough. I checked out the distance from the bottom of the package tray(on the flat) to that rear axel hump part and it's 14 inches. I was trying to take a picture of that but my phone went dead. I was lucky that the phone lasted for that one. It shut off after that picture I did manage to take. Sorry.

That is perfect, thank you. I suspected I was sitting a little low. Lots of hacking and slashing was done on my car. Lots to get back in order. Thanks for the help. Have a good one.

No problem. Glad to help.

How low is low??

5/8", I can brace and lift it back to position though. Im cutting the whole thing up anyway, rust every where, and needs rear frame rails. As I put things back, I just wanted to be aware of a few measurements, just incase.
