Let me 'retract' that above statement, perhaps saying the EDP coating MUST come off is a bit strong. I've seen the EDP coating scuffed up a lot before primer is applied, scuffed up so much that there's only traces of the black EDP. For the record, I'd rather see panels come in wearing the EDP than bare!

Maybe you are comparing a car with all it's heavy components (eng., trans., rear end, suspension, etc.) installed? Those components installed, add a lot of tortional deflection. Bring it down to a shell and what you mentioned goes away.

Just as a side note, this PPG waterborne primer specifically mentions that it can go over electrocoat. It would be good to have that in the specs of your coatings if that's the plan.

I have a 69 road runner(post car) solid frame but didnt have trunk floor or quarters on it I could watch it bow in the rear area when going on rotisserie off of lift,bare hull, Have a 67 GTX (hardtop) on all 4 tires floor pan is out of it,when I jack the front end up (under K-Member) the body flexs & doors dont shut good,sit jack stands under the frame behind wheels they shut good,when mounted so far out on a B-body I see flex on my post,Cant wait to see how much a hardtop flexs,with all body panels the cars may not flex but I think Im gonna brace between doors on mine first

Anyone ever see those steel bridges sway in the wind? I am not concerned much for any of these old cars' flexing or bending. I won't hang a car in a Rotisserie unless it's a shell, I've hung them with no floors, no quarters, no roof with installed bracing in the *** end where the frame rails cross with the inner wheelhouses.

I doubt that it matters how much it flexes and wobbles. As long as it settles back to straight when you put it on the jig before the welding starts.

The 'Core' of these cars is the Rockers, the Seat Pan under the rear seat, and Inner wheelhouses as they tie into all the remaining webbing and structure.

How is this dustless blasting. I am talking to some who does this. He says he uses cut glass with water.

All Media Blasting is a very dirty and dusty process. When you ask "How is it...?" I have tried it at their factory down in Houston. It works pretty well! However, I'm concerned their marketing is towards a person who wants to do it one time on their project and they spend a LOT of money on this system, have no experience in media blasting, and their lovely project is fooked up. The 'Dustless' is just water that washes all the sludge across your driveway, shop, and or lawn. I've had my dust tested, it's loaded with all sorts of nasty hard solids. However, I am well protected against the bad side effects. Dry media blasting works for me, I'd rather have dust to dispose of after 3-4 months vs glass and mud sludge after a few hours of blasting.

Nothing like blasting some 70 GTX Doors, Fenders, etc and finding NO RUST, NONE! Just a repaint over Limelight OEM color, and a few Bondo repairs and a few holes in the skins.

Hi Donny great job, well again your to far away, but I have a 72 charger and ready to find someone here to what you do but my question is what do I look for and ask so I don't get a bad place. Would I strip car down like hood truck doors etc I have the complete interior stripped and seal. Thx

They have to have experience doing cars, and mainly cars. If they're hesitant to do a car body, might want to consider not using them. Has to be a shell, no wires, glass, trim, hoses, lines, wheels, brakes, drivetrain...nothing on it, and mounted on a dolly. They should have rotisseries available for your car and have experience hanging a car in it. Good luck.
