Been thinking about new trucks lately and with my 02 Durango rolling up on 179K miles I went Sun to get a closer look. Well, I ended up getting one after I tested the towing ability. The sales guy said I could bring my trailer down so I loaded up the 66 HEMI Charger, hooked it up to my old reliable friend (term borrowed from detmatt) and hit the road.
All the sales guys went nuts when that red 66 HEMI Charger rolled up on the trailer and was being hooked up to one of the trucks. My sales guy was taking pics and posting on his facebook. Nothing like breaking up a Sun afternoon at the Dodge dealership! The sales manager asked what I thought of putting the Charger on display in their showroom! Since it's for sale I thought it might be a good idea to let people see it plus I get it out of my way for a while - and they have insurance.
In many ways I like my Durango better so I will be keeping it but retiring it from heavy towing. Time for the old gal to take a pension and have the easy life!
So here it is in flame red. They don't make my nice Atlantic blue anymore, or anything close for that matter
but when I saw this color that closely resembles R4 like my 69 RR I had an alternate.
