wedge69, what kind of shop? Is this your business or fun? And to answer the OP, I am in Md., too far but not that far.

Hey, I'm living just south of you in Middletown, DE until I move next week. If you need a place for parts and or resto work, look up herbs parts! Its about 45 minutes or so from Philly and the man is amazing. You can pull up his website for details and info. He's the only person in the area that I've found to be trustworthy. Whenever I need him for work on my car he always does the job right and at a fraction of the cost of other shops. He has taken my '72 roadrunner from struggling not to break down, to cross country road trip loving when I couldn't get it there myself. He did that at an amazing low price and was honest about his work. Really great guy.

I do anything from GoKarts to dump trucks . Its my side work to pay for my toys !

Hey Bud. I'm in Willow Grove, PA, near the Naval Base. I'm new to this as well but what I lack in experience, I make up in the ability to google for the answers or nag the **** out of my mechanic buddies. Just saying. I have a 1968 Roadrunner.

My first word of advice is to find a local, reputable mechanic who is experienced in our classics. Unfortunately, my mechanic just recently passed away from cancer. I've called a few local places and knew right off the bat that they were a) way to expensive or b) didn't know what they were talking about. I've heard good things about a guy in DE called Herb's Parts.

Everybody is a mechanice with a Scanner in there hands ! But put a cut off broom stick or long screw driver in there hands and watch the fun begin ! :dark1:

HI fridaygt. I just got off of a 45 min phone call with Herb from Herb' s parts. I was able to tell in the first few minutes that the man knows his stuff. I think I have found my new mechanic.
