We own and enjoy cars that thousands of young men died before seeing. There are thousands of men who never got to see the new charger, the roadrunner, the Superbird, the superbee, the GTX. Or they may have seen a magazine article and held onto hope they’ll make it back to sit in one. Today as we honor all the men and women who gave their lives for us, take a fallen hero for a ride, end of the road, ice cream, the bbq you plan on going to, or whichever memorial you are going to.
Today... THE MOST IMPORTANT holiday. Without those who gave the ultimate sacrifice... we would not have any other holidays. We owe what we have to those. May God reward them with eternal peace.
May we never forget those who paid the ultimate cost for our freedoms.

My friend. A good man. I think of him often. His Dad was our Insurance Rep when they still came to the house. His parents never got over the loss. He Enlisted. I just waited for the Lottery Draft. Number never came up, so I did not have to EARN the Freedoms I enjoy. This happened 1973.
