Got to wonder about technology. A guy got his thumb severed in a door on his Benz having auto-close feature. Will he win his lawsuit? Reminds me when my dad got his pinky finger caught in his old Caddy having the trunk lid screw lockdown feature. He was home alone; retired by then, and would be all day as my mother was at work. Back before cell phones (he never had one anyway) he stood there for a painful stretch before figuring if he didn’t try to do something he’d probably lose the finger either way. He yanked his finger out with his foot on the car for more leverage losing the nail; but he was free and kept the finger. Also remember when I got my fingers wedged in a '57 Imperial, power windows, when the driver, neighbor closed the window in the backseat where I was sitting...ouch hey.

I have to ask, at what point is enough, enough.

Good question. Suppose self-driving cars, lol. Newest vehicle I have is an ’09 and my daily is my ’05 Dakota. The ’09 has a navigation system and other chit I’ve not used and it’s nothing compared to what’s on vehicles now. I’m old school, when I get behind the wheel I want to drive it. Geezuz, with all the stuff they have now standard for safety and convenience the auto crash fatals are still up there.
