I am wondering how hard these tires hook. I am thinking of putting a set on but I have stock springs with no traction bars and also air shocks for my ride height. Any guess as to wheel hop problems. Or should I stick to street tires. I am just tired of wheel spin.
 
I've never tried the radials personally but I hear they work the best compared to other drag radials. I ran a set of the bias ET streets on a nova and they worked very well.

IMO......The MT ET Street Radials are the BEST I've ever used on the street. I'm on my 2nd pair on my 69 Super Bee. It's a 13 second street car with 3.55's in the rear. No fancy cal-tracs on this car: just stock leaf springs and pair of aftermarket shocks. The tires hook real well out at the track with 20lbs pressure. The only negative thing is: I wish they lasted a bit longer as they're expensive. :yes:

That is the size I would like. Are the rims 8 or 10"? Do you know the backspace. I have 275-60-15 and they rub on the fender lips if you hit a big bump.

Sounds like the backspacing is something you need to work on. If your wheels rub the lip, and you have two inches between the tire and spring for example, I would add an inch of additional backspacing to the next rim.
BTW I wouldn't do to much with it using air shocks..... Thats SOOOOO hard on those little upper shock mounts! A re-arch of your stock springs, and an extra leaf up on the front half, or CalTracs will do you so much better!
You can spend even more with caltrac mono leafs or a bit less for Mopar SS springs.

The wheels on my Bee are 10" w/4.5" backspacing. I will recomend you do some measuring inside the wheel wells before ordering anything. That way you'll know what backspacing you need to have. I suggest you look in the JEGS catalog (or online) at the WELD Wheel Draglite 90 series. They have available 10" wheels that offer 5 different backspacings.....off the shelf so there's no waiting and no special orders. The draglites are a nice looking wheel and inexpensive. Part of the fun with these projects is figuring out all this stuff.

15x8 (4.5" Backspacing) W/ Weld Draglites.

Great Backspacing and tire clearance. Don't rub. I have always ran M/T Drag Radials on all of my cars. Great thread wear, along with excellent traction in wet or dry.
