Might this be intake reversion?

I'd rather stay away from bringing up the head name, as I'm not in the mood to hear all the closet hider's comments that add nothing. But all the helpful comments so far I'm appreciating and will tell to my builder and we will check this stuff out.

Just need a bit of ice cream with that cake :D Yeah, no use adding anything to this but reversion 'usually' is when you see black soot tracking back up the intake runner and even into the bottom of the carb. Restrictive exhaust and cam type can cause it but what you have is an oil control problem. If you mentioned what heads you're using, I missed it....and I'd also like to know what kind of valve stem clearance they have and the type of valve stem seals.
 
Even if the guides are loose at only 5000 miles the valve seals shouldn't be allowing this much oil. Don't blame your heads right off the bat. It may be as simple as a poorly sealed intake. Or more serious such as ring seal. What's the history of the short block? How does the intake fit?
