just posted this in drivline, but if anyone has any insight that could help out that would be great. got a car show saturday and im pulling my hair out..okay so after a very unsuccessful day in the shop, my mopar high output oil pump, and milodon deep pickup were mated (unhappily) and my oil pan is not fitting for the life of me. it is correct for the car, and i had to raise the engine, and lower the k frame and its still not coming close to fitting correctly.. about an inch of it hitting the tranny and the sump is touching the k frame..looks almost like the engine has to be out of the car or the k frame has to be off or something. im so frusterated..has anyone had any dealings with a situation like this? i know the milodon sticker on the pan faces forward but its so odd.. what shouldve been an hour installation turned into about 6 hours of me bitchin and throwing stuff. any advice good peope?

I don't think I would go by the sticker. Pans won't bolt up backwards so compare it carefully to the old pan. Shouldn't matter but, you didn't say what engine you were dealing with.

I agree don't go by the sticker. If this is the 7qt for a B/RB like the 30930, the flat side of the underside of the pan should be towards the rear of the motor and the curved portion should be on the front.

What's the car and Milodon # of the pan you have? 318 motor in other post...
