Mini starters

I have recently purchased hedman headers for my 69 satellite 440. They said in the description that they require a mini starter for correct fitment. Well to make a long story short I have ordered and returned 2 different mini starter because they do not fit at all with my headers... In fact the original OEM starter fit better with them. Can anybody tell me what mini starter is the correct one to fit with these POS headers...

Not for sure. Because I ordered them through classic industries but the par number is 78030.

Those are Hedman headers. Don't know why it won't fit? You sure you got the right starter? Do a search here on mini's for what you need. To bad I don't have one on the shelf as I try to keep a couple on hand to flip them. Me's thinks I need to do a bone yard run for some more.

I have looked at atleast 10 other mini starter and they are all around the same size and shape as the one that I ordered. I don't know why they are not fitting either. I have spent the last 3 day trying to get someone from hedman on the phone and still no answer. 2 phonecalls and 2 emails and still no reply from anyone. All I can say is that I am completely fed up with both their product and their service and will never return to hedman ever again.

Just get their "shorty" headders, problem solved? Good Luck

Could you give more detail on where the problem is? The mini should fit. Some starters come with a plastic lug extension for the wiring. I've had to remove them in the past.
