So...every day I spend about 30 min doing craigslist searches via searchtempest.

I search a 125 mile radius by year and model (about 2 dozen seperate searches, then again by year and make, from 1963 to 1983, and sometimes newer.

I have been particularly aggressive this past week as it is killing me not have something old to drive.

I traveled about 150 miles this past weekend to see three Roadrunners and a Super Bee.

Yesterday I got to work, and one of the other car guys comes up and says "you see that 66 belvedrere convertible on CL?"

Me- Uh, no...where?

Him- well now it's in my dad's driveway, ha, ha.

Me- really?

Him- yeah, on "xxxx" road.

Me- that's 5 min from my house!

Him- it's a 383 car.

Me- No ****? How much?

Him- the guy wanted $5,000, but my dad got it for $4,000.

Me- @^&*^%@#$%^&*!!!

Saw a pic and it looks real nice.
Waiting on VIN to verify factory 383 Bel II vert.

How the F did I miss that?

You have to remember the folks posting stuff on CL or ebay aren't the best spellers out there, and often can barely write. :) I've found lots of stuff on both sites while looking for something else because the lister had mispelled key words I was searching on and their items didn't come up when I ran those searches.

yep, scored a coupple because of that.

can easily tripple your man-hours spent searching.

Oh man! I guess if it drove over you then maybe you would have seen it!! Too funny. Well, actually not if you're looking for something....

Here are a couple of sites I visit that sometimes have good project cars or 1/2 finished cars for deals... www.HotRodHotLine.com in the barn finds & projects, also www.AutaBuy.com , also have you tried, you probably all know this... www.allofcraigs.com , www.statewidelist.com , along with the... www.searchtempest.com , that will cover any & all of your area... I agree with you guys the spelling issues on any Craigslist or E-Scam format sometimes really sucks, also the stupid key words crap that just groups stuff, that doesn't really belong together at all...

I was searching for info on a band once- "Prototype".

Great name for a band...but terrible name if you want people to be able to find your **** on the internet.

I really need to do more searching since I have so many wants. Granted I need to focus on selling and fixing up what I have first. Are none of your Chargers or Coronet driving right now? Focus on that man or just find yourself an old good running beater for the mean time. What all do you do searches on? F, J, and B bodies I'm sure. I'd also look into R and M bodies, Challenger/Sapporo, Colt, and Arrow. Granted the latter 3 would be best suited with an R or M donor. I'd really dig an '81 New Yorker Fifth Avenue Edition with the stainless steel roof. I could even live with fwd with a Scamp/Rampage. I almost bought a Scamp GT, but was out of town and when I got back it had been scrapped. A Dakota Sport convertible would rock as well.

I know where there's a Dak vert in a scrap yard.
Lots of good parts.
Lot guy said it was running when brought in, and PO had CL ad for a year with no offers.
Saw a Shelby Dak at a swap meet for $2500 a couple of months ago.

Save it, who needs an S10 with a 350 when you can have a Dakota vert with a Hemi.

I asked and they said they do not sell complete vehicles.

Counter guy was driving a 65 Valiant wagon with nice wheels.

You would have thought from one Mopar guy to another, talking about saving a 99% coplete rare Mopar, he would have done something if he could have.
