Modern Bullitt build

I'd love to learn how you detailed the hood latch assembly so well! Did you have to blow the whole thing apart to re-plate/coat everything then reassemble it? If so, did you reuse all of the rivets or get new ones? How did you re-peen them?

Gorgeous work as always!!

SF restorations Restore the Hood, trunk, and door latches. more info at the link below
Thanks
Pat

There is one major problem with this car: It is such a perfect work of art that I am not sure I would ever dare drive it!

Pat, as I said earlier, you seriously need to consider SEMA or to go for some other major award like the Ridler award. This car is stunning everywhere you look at it. It does not have wild and crazy body mods; Instead, it looks stock yet has so many upgrades and changes that I could just check it out and "discover" it for hours. Serious car folks will understand what a special car it is...

Hawk, Thank you for your kind words, and noting how I have kept this car as stock appearing as possible. I’m hopeful that somebody sponsors the car to go to SEMA, otherwise I’ll be happy to take it to Carlisle next year;-)
Thank you!

Been following this build for so long I am excited to see things coming down to the wire.

Curious what headlights and what HID kit was used?

I tried some aftermarket lights and they didn't fit the chrome trim ring at all.

sorry for the delayed response. I use Delta LED lights. No problem fitting the stainless steel trim rings, but they require opening the hole in the light bucket about a 1/4” to fit the backside of the light.

Thanks
Pat

Have you used these lights in the past? I have some LED headlights that are good but the beam is very spread out. I would like some that cast a longer beam

No, this is the first car I have use this brand on so I have no experience on how the light looks on the open road.
Thanks

To get the hood clearance for the 1968 hemi air cleaner I had to make a custom base and air filter. Started with a cardboard template before making it out of 1/8” aluminum plate.

I think the 1” velocity stacks worked well.

Thanks and happy holidays!

Pat

Weld Mount is in acrylic adhesive mounting system with a wide variety of very cool fasteners. We use it on the boats when we cannot drill into a bulkhead, fuel tank, or hull sides to mount or fasten equipment and wires. I used it to mount a few fan relays and headlight door operator To keep the engine bay clean of fasteners. Very cool stuff, easy to use an extremely strong!
Thanks
Pat
