I get the money aspect of evaporust... wasn't knocking your method at all... I bought a gallon of it and then wet down a towel and drenched it wrapped it up with a Walmart sack came back 12 hours later presto and all the rust was gone. no worries... I just hate the wait
This method is slow as molasses. {rimshot}
I’m thinking that I may need to blast a little to clean up the painted areas. If this works like they say it does I see a few advantages. It’s set it and forget it, that leaves time to work on or do other things. Multiple parts can be done at once. It does the complete inside of the manifold that can not be reached blasting.May I ask why you don't just have them bead blasted?
Those look really good. I hope that I see similar results. I am not going to be in the garage much the end of this week and not at all the following week so that’s why I said two weeks.I don't have a before pic but here is one I did in the molasses bath last year. Sold it a month ago. I use a 7:1 ratio. I don't recall how long it was in the bath but not longer that a week.
How about these Charger door latches after a week in the bath. I like it because it leaves the galvanizing alone. Just eats the rust. I use the same solution for a few months then dump it and start over.
