Monster Mopar, whos goin?

Just an observation from a spectator point of view:
Very nice facility, its huge.
I am surprised at the number of racers here being so close in dates to the NATS.
swap meet was bigger than i thought it would be also.
The last time I went to the NATS was 10 years ago, but I would choose this event to return.
Class act
Opinions?
Is this event poised to take over?

Got it done late last night, 2:07am. 5th win this year in N/SS. What a dream season. Bobtile made it down to what looked like 8 cars in Pro.

Great weekend.
Checked your car out DVW.
You looked busy, so I didn’t want to bother you when you were “working”.
Congrats on the win!

The weather was unbelievable!

Always a great time and a top class facility, for sure.

The problem with Norwalk as it relates to hosting or eclipsing the NATS, is the lack of hotel rooms close by. Most folks camp at the track, and that’s great, but some of the long distance folks want hotel accommodations.

Anyhow, good times!

I will be back for sure, and I stayed in Milan at a campground. 3 hotels are within sight of that campground, its about 15 min from the track. Thinking of staying at the track next year though as there were a few open RV spots.

Congrats to DVW on the win last night.
Unbelievable consistency and what a car!

I knocked myself out by going -.002 red in the gamblers race on Friday night. Got back to the hotel about 1 am.
18 hours at the track on Saturday.
About 140 cars in pro class and made it to final 8 before breaking out.
Left the track about 2:15 am. By the time I got back to the room and showered, it was 3:15. At 4:00 am, the train came by and gave a shoutout.
Alarm woke us up at 6:30 and back to the track.
I never had such a bad hangover especially since I didnt drink a thing!
Had my timeshot on Sunday morning without touching anything on the car and went from 9.88 last night to 10.05 with same mph this morning and the car didnt want to idle in gear.
I noticed some old gas sitting on the top of the carb.
I cleaned out all the air bleeds and the car idled again.
I wound up going red 1st round sunday but made a full pass to see if that cleared up.
Ran a 9.92 so I was happy with that.
Wasnt happy with starting line official but that's another story.
I dont know how this became about me.
Sorry.

Nice meeting you Doug.

How did the weekend go for you NSS?

Tough weekend, I made it down to 3 cars Friday night in the gamblers race, Saturday lost in the second rd to a .018 package vs my .040. Sunday 1st rd broke out by .003 that ended my weekend. Hoping my luck changes next weekend.
Congrats to Doug and Casey!

Thanks guys!

Wow, Casey just got Married, his first time out all year and he wins. He red lighted the first two rounds but in both cases the other lane went deeper red.... I had a feeling it was his day.

Thanks again

Kevin

Thanks malex, pretty frustrating weekend, .020-.030 rt all weekend and a consistent car with nothing to show Saturday and Sunday. This coming weekend is a big one for me, I am leading the points in one of the series racing at Dragway 42 and need to go rounds.
I will be watching to see how your car runs with the perches fixed, hoping you can get it to hook and get that 9 sec. pass.

Definitely tough competition that you were dealing with last weekend. A ringer this weekend though for you! As far as my car goes I'm optimistic for this weekend but sure not holding my breath. Good luck NSS!

Your rounds would have won at NMCA last weekend. Read the stats sheet.
