montana 62

ok... The mill is going in this week come hell or high water... I have 2 sets of the original engine mounts for the 62 K frame. Stock and the chrome set off of the poly.
Just for fun i looked to see if i could get new ones.... Cheapest set i found is 784 US dollars. Another set was 833.... Guess she getting some chrome on it.
i can see a mark up on stuff ya can't find if ya the only one that makes them and there is only one guy (me) still using the old K frame but damn.:rofl::rofl:

well got bent over again.. buddys kid put his car in the shop a started ripping the mill out of it.... o well. always next week.

well lookie here. 30 days later and it still ain't in. good news is tho. buddy went on vaca last friday. he gave me a key to the shop. his kids don't even have a key to it.
so worked on the hornet over the weekend and the ram today and tomarow. because ..... i got a new idea on propulsion for the land barge. A 1965 413 from a New Yorker. can't remember the HP of the single 4BBL but its the grunt im after. it should get out of its own way. seller said it ran good when it was took out this year but it don't look bad. no oil leaks and that is not the original paint and it has a new flex plate.... stuff is going down this week. after i fix the broke spring on the ram..... again. maby just maby i will get to stop by the tent this year.
dose anyone got a tall deck intake thay want to donate?? we will try the long ran... but ya ............................................................. lol

can't wait ..... but if ya notice its not the long ram.. it is the shorter one without the full lenth devided runners

That was interesting.
Wish they would of mentioned cam specs.
Can't see the practicality of an OEM Mech cam on that motor
I was expecting a bit more HP, motor was a 425ci, correct?

Those 4131S carbs are from 1966 383. In my experience, one of the commonest AFB's you will find at a swap meet. I usually check list # on old AFB's that I see at local swap meets. I found a pair of 1966 Hemi carbs for $80.00 that way. They are now on my friend's 1966 426 Hemi Charger. The vendor obviously did not know what he had.

If you used B to RB manifold spacers, would it miss the inner skirts?
IDK just thinking out loud :)

i thunk about that. ... just never looked to see how thick thay are. but don't think it will because it will also move them outward. i was thinking on removing the heater box (or what ever ya call it) from under the carbs but that can't be undone if it don't work. i just want it in the car. i can play with the intake later.

413 . and ya. it would be a pain if ya had to adjust the valves or had a gasket go bad on ya. im staying with the hydro.

The control room monitor for the dyno runs in bottom left-hand corner displays 425.1 displacement, another reason I was disappointed in the output, if it is indeed correct.

All ready to go... All I need are the mounts.... It's always something ain't it.

I have a set of long Rams at Gills Welding that have the heater boxes removed, if a trial fit would be helpful, they are not for sale. Being the manifolds are so long. a milled taper on the spacers would give you a decent amount of additional vertical clearance, and reduce the spacers thickness, if your carbs can handle the tilt, which might also be corrected with a tapered carb spacer, not to get all clunky.

i mite take ya up on that.... once i get it in the car.

hunting and gathering we go .... again. got a line on a guy with a 70's HP 440 and other mills and other stuff. don't think il get that lucky but worth 2 hr drive. ya never know.

Are you looking for a complete running motor? I have been changing my "64 to a drag only car. I have the one that was in it.(1st pic) I would sell.
No valve covers or accessories.
V413 + .060 = 426
