So,
Any news on the Mopar Action magazine ?
Renewed for 2 years last spring, I assume I am S-O-L ?
Thanks

still not on the stands over here , I lost 2 1/2 years subscription when they decided to not honour present subs . f*ck em

I haven't seen a copy on the news stand for 3 months or so but I still look and hope they will come back soon.

According to other threads on here, it's dead. I got screwed too.

The only thing I really miss is Ehrenberg's tech articles. I hope he shows up somewhere else.

Class action law suit?

Looks like Rick intends to post his MA articles soon.

"Welcome to Rick Ehrenberg’s page. I’ve been into Mopars since 1960, and have written over 1,000 Mopar-specific technical articles for magazines such as Mopar Action, High Performance Mopar, Musclecars, Popular Hot Rodding, etc. I own all the tech article archives from the now-defunct Mopar Action, I will be posting them here as soon as I find time."

FYI to all,

I sent an email to Athlon Sports asking for either the Mopar Action magazine subscription that I paid for OR a full refund. They sent me the refund. Of course I had proof that I had paid and included that proof in the email.

Here's the address........you all might want to give it a shot.

Thanks for the info. Not to be a smartass, but what does Athlon sports have to do with Mopar Action? Are they the buyers of the subscription list? Just wanting to know the connection.

Yes, Athlon is the group that bought Mopar Action when Harris publications shut down. I believe they are the parent company of Parade magazine and some others. They were going to keep the mag in print, but obviously something went wrong and they decided against it. In the meantime many renewals and new subscriptions were taken in by them (including mine) but then NO magazine. I had proof from them when they charged my credit card for the subscription and then I asked for a refund. They sent a full refund to me without any hassles.

I would think that if you had a subscription to Mopar Action that wasn't delivered, you would at least know WHO you had sent the money to?

I guess even though I talked to Ehrenberg about the new organization when I renewed and knew what was going on, I really didn't have anything in writing about Athlon until they sent me the credit card receipt later on. So I can see how you wouldn't necessarily have that bit of info about where your subscription actually went, especially if you paid in cash.

I sent a check to Mopar Action, which at the time was owned by Harris Publications.

payed by CC to harris publications , they no longer exist and the other mob don't want to know

Yeah, since you paid Harris prior to the shut down and subsequent sell-off to Athlon, they most likely will not be interested in honoring your subscription. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try though.

In my case, I renewed (I was lucky, I guess) after Athlon had taken over the operation from Harris, so I had a receipt from Athlon for the subscription.

I wish I kept the receipt, but I always renew my subs at Mopar Nationals and just pay cash. I don't think that little yellow carbon copy they give me makes it back to the car...haha.
