Hello everyone my project is almost done and have been driving it now comes the time for a new battery I wanted to keep it Mopar so I called the local dealer they want 185.00 for a new group 27 battery that is a killer I do not think I can do it almost the price of a resto battery what are you guys installing I may just go to my local parts guy for 105.00 leaves me some extra for a hood weatherstrip or something else lol

I use an Exide, it's black and I just peel the stickers off.
Works well but I'm not really into the "correct restoration" stuff with paint marks and all that.
I do appreciate the attention to detail and knowledge many here invest in their cars.
Just depends on what you want, and this is about the easiest thing to change down the road.

You thought that price of 185 for a mopar battery is bad, the cost of reproduction original Mopar batteries are 300+ and you can not get one now because no company is making them at this time.

I'll stick with this.

I use whatever local parts store has with the long warranty & highest cold cranking amps (CCA)

The easy way,NAPA group 27, 775 CCA $85.00

An $85.- battery that is group 27? Is it from 1979?

Exactly what I pad 1 1/2 yrs ago at my local NAPA,guess he likes me !!

What is the part number on that battery I do not see anything on there website with screw caps

Remove the NAPA covers, take the threads of a set of Mopar caps, epoxy them on and you're done.
