With the copious amount of this and that 'Chrysler in a Barn' videos and others like it, I wonder if there is a database, or a map or something where we can all look at, participate in, and benefit from a database of Mopar Junkyards! There was a junkyard, heck two junkyards in my old town I used to live in, but, with housing developments and road expansions, and scrap metal prices way up, junkyards are closing, going out of business, and crushing/scrapping some ancient and precious cars! This is especially true when AMD is making new panels etc. and AutoZone has new alternators for 30 bucks, Junkyards can't survive.

So, I wonder if we could start a sticky thread whereas we all can participate and contribute sites, locations, information about including what is in there, perhaps pics, and point of contacts, perhaps we can save a few of these relics?

I'm doing my part, rescuing a heap of a car...my GTX, I sure hope we can do more to keep these cars workable and on the road, at least in a minimum capacity.

What say you all? Moderators? Ideas?

I think that's a great idea.

You're absolutely correct about the shrinking junkyard landscape...unfortunately...

I agree when do we start. I can't find much in the north at least nothing that hasn't been destroyed by years of salted roads.

hurry up Donny, i,m ready for a road trip when i know where to go.

It seems like just a few years ago, I could drive around TX and smell 'em out, now, the scent has dried up a lot! I think I will go out on my m/c some weekend and go for a look!

Central IL has one, not just Mopars but all old cars but of course his inventory is shrinking. Memory Lane outside of Busnell, IL 309 772 3618. Bought a few parts for my 65 Coronet and his prices are cheap! Just a few years ago I could have bought a complete Dana 60 off him but didn't :mad::confused for $75 and he told me that is the going price for scrap metal so thats what he sells them for. He didn't care if the rear is from a 70 Hemi Cuda,70 LS6 Chevelle or 70 Boss Mustang. Don't call on the Dana it's gone:)
