Thanks for the pictures, Dennis.
Good times like last year. The show car count went up again. 2018 and this year, our club was involved in promoting the show and all aspects seem to have increased,
2017 show cars: 11.
2018 show cars: 41.
2019 show cars: 54.
More racers, more swap meet vendors, more spectators too. This event will never be as big as Mopars at the Strip in Las Vegas but it is bigger than it has been in 20 years thanks to better promotion. I wonder if the track owners are kicking themselves for ignoring the potential of the Mopar event. In the past, they used to have Grudge night events including Mopar VS Pontiac. The owners could have used social media and online forums to promote themselves but it is as if they didn't care whether they made money or not.
Darius was there with a face full of bush....I've known him for over 10 years and never saw him with anything but a mustache. Dennis and his Wife were there, Also FBBO member 1 Wild R/T with his '70 Challenger Convertible.....The usual gang from our Sacramento Mopar club, some new faces too. I was out taking pictures of engines with air conditioning to see how others were configured.
I forgot sunscreen and with the cooler temperature and moderate wind, I burned my face and neck.
Good times!
