Mopar XHD leaf spring bushings

Hello, So I purchased a set of MOPAR XHD leaf springs for my 68 Satellite, they come with the front bushing installed already but I am having issues with the rear rubber bushings, the ones that I have tried from NAPA (274-8889) and MOOG (K7308) are the 1 inch bushings but they slip right in and have a little play, approx a 16th of an inch, should these not fit snug in the eye of the leaf spring?

Has anyone ran into this and if so found a bushing that fits better? Will these work or will I be taunted with constant rattle from the rear?

It’s been a while, but that sounds correct. The front bushings are pressed in & the back bushing just slip in by hand

The shackle bushing shouldn't be able to just fall out

They literally drop in with no force.

I have replaced quite a few of them and they never just fall in. Usually squeeze them in with a big set of pump pliers.
